Nearly the end of the year… ticking away into the light of a new day…… Listening to Happiness while doing some computer stuff this morning. Here’s anutha from Reece & Kirsten’s day.
Yarra Valley Vineyards & a Wedding Party down the tracks… Summer, in every extreme.
On a hot summers day, what better thing to do, then kick off lunch in a nice cool brewery. Thats how Reece & Kirsten began their married life.
It’s all been a bit frantic lately, so excuse my gaps in the posts… we’ve had a beautiful little boy, whom we called Chet….. and we’ve also moved house, and I’ve taken on extra work…. so to say we’re bizzy is an understatement… probably more like ‘rediculous’ would be a better word to use. Anyway… may not be real frequent for a while, but yeah… still here… meanwhile…… listening to Titi Winterstein while post processing some weddings…. going for that Gypsy feeling.
Have been seriously off the Richter lately…… really bizzy….. we’ve had a baby, we’re moving house, plus a lot more…. which I don’t really want to get into right here….. so that might explain why I haven’t posted much on the blog….. Nevertheless… not too bizzy to put an image up of Otis…. who’s been going through heaps lately… hope you’re better soon!
Anutha day behind the computer… post processing… Listening to Roger Miller “Chug-a-Lug” at the moment… for something very different.
Ice Cream in Winter is serious business….. Floyd tuckin’ in at the local shop, a hot chip one minute then these ice cream rock things the next…. such healthy food I know…. ha ha.
Big week this week…. landed a new rental… no baby yet… & reports of family being raced off to Brisbane Hospital with a serious condition… this is just some of the drama going on….. is it just me… or do things seem to be getting more complicated as we progress…? On a completely different tangent…. Sarah & her Mum, sharing a warm moment.
This boy has so many different expressions… he’s always pulling some kind of face. This shot is from our St Kilda days, when we’d head up to the local park most days, so the boys could have a play.
Just looking back over previous posts….. and I have been posting lots of wedding stuff lately…. so for something completely different now…. our 3rd boy is nearly here…. looks like he’s got a noggin’ similar to mine… poor little soul.
I’m boy-less today…. so a big day processing images… listening to Brian Eno, Music For Airports at the moment.
Groovin’ out to Al Bowlly this morning while post processing…… it’s one of those days….
Check out that Bow Tie…! But how ’bout that Smile…. !
Heath & Sooz sharing some space on their big day out…. me, I’m listening to Reasons to be Cheerful Part 3 by Ian Dury, and trying to get some post work done… when the boys will leave me alone, which ain’t much today.
Mr & Mrs Cornish.
Suzanne & Heath having five minutes rest on the step.
Portrait of a Bride
In the gorgeous Yarra Valley.
Reece & Kirsten, stealing a moment…
Sometimes… little boys just need a hug from their Mum.
Finished getting ready… and a few shots before heading off to tie the knot with Josh.
Gotta love the winter light in the southern end of this country…!
A wedding day is full of lots of expressions…. I love some of the faces & behaviour that slide out of people when they know they’re on display.
Mrs Rado…. taken before she was Mrs Rado.
Stripes in a window… Sarah, before she heads off to tie the knot…
Pocket watches are proving to be popular with Grooms lately….. I guess you don’t wanna be late…. on that special date….
I’ve revisited this shot in B&W….. because I think it looks better that way…. I know you’ll probably disagree… but that’s okay…. everyone’s entitled to their opinion. This is composite made up of an unused Billboard I photographed somewhere just south of Perth… and Floyd, giving me one of his cheeky grins…….. always wanted to get one of my shots up on a Billboard…. ha ha.
The Bridal Waltz…. done the Australian way…. Boogie!
Yes… we’re going through toilet time at the Beyer’s….. always a fun thing to do…. just look at that expression…. are we having fun? or what?…. ha ha….. He did such a number…I had to ring Werribee & tell ‘em to open the gates a bit more… tell’em there’s a big one on the way.
Luke had been out riding horses when Penelope rocked up to his place a couple of hours before the ceremony…. they met when he got back, and this was the first time they’d seen each other on their wedding day…. she walks up…. and he’s banging on about how good she looks…. and she, oh so quietly shushes him… and then they kiss…… (look at me… it’s like I’m writing for Mills & Boone ha ha)….. Anyway…. I dig it when couples break with tradition and do things their way!!!
Penelope… what a gorgeous bride… with a fantastic smile… Herself and Luke did a fantastic day. I shot this while assisting Cathy Mossop with this wedding… and what a photo-fest it was! Listening to Blue Monday by New Order at the moment… even tho it’s Tuesday.
Kids are not inhibited in any way…. it’s a shame we have to grow up & fit into this world….. This is Tama, being batman all over town… the park… and loving it. Listening to Jellyfish… an album called Bellybutton… and specifically, a song called “The man I used to be”….. just to wack a bit of frivolous regailure on the end this post….
I revisited this shot from Carly & Jareds wedding last year…. can’t beat late afternoon sunlight.
Floyd giving me a rather proud look, after he got himself completely drenched, jumping in puddles down on the walkway beside our local beach. Listening to “A Moment in Black & White” by Pepe Deluxe, while chugging away on my computer today….. kind’ve appropriate considering the image.
Haven’t had much time to work pictures today….. mainly changing nappies and tying to stop world war 3 between 2 boys….. Listening to “Don’t think twice, it’s alright” by Mr Dylan, while I pen this to you & post a recent of Tahlia & Jake….. gotta be in the mood for Dylan… he did pen some classics tho…. loving the random selection lately.
Working away today… post productionizing with Jake & Tahlia’s big day out…. they got married in a beautiful part of the world ! Beechworth is gorgeous… and they did their day fabulously. Listening to 16 Shells from a Thirty-Ought… by Tom Waits… he just chunks it out… beautiful…. good to work to on the computer…!
Another shot from the old Asylum at Beechworth…. Tahlia, showing off the shoes.
Floyd after a good run around in the wet…. and a nice big jump in some puddles.. he loves a good puddle splash….. & just when I’m ready to strangle him for getting his clothes all wet….. he settles down and gives me this look…!!! got me wrapped around his finger.
There’s something about a veil….. at no other time do you wear anything even remotely similar, except on your wedding day…. I wonder if it will ever go out of fashion….? This is Kirsten… on her way to getting married.
A stunning couple in the corridors of the Asylum…. if ever you’re in Beechworth…. it’s worth having a skwiz at…. beautiful in a grunjee, messed up kind’ve way…. great for photos.
We took these shots in an old abandoned, shut down Asylum at Beechworth, Victoria….. quite an amazing place for photos… and obviously other photographers had been there previously… because everywhere we ventured on the grounds, there were signs telling us what aperture to use. I found this shot difficult because I couldn’t find f/12 on my camera… it only has f/11 or f/13…. might have to send it back & see if I can get an f/12 inserted……… ?
Jake & Tahlia, after their ceremony….. haven’t been on a wedding where the couple didn’t stop at some point in the day, and have a breather and something to eat & drink. These guys were especially good…. because they brought food for us…. the photographers as well… thank you very much!!!…. This shot was taken by my mate, Ashley Whitworth, who was helping me on the day…. probably while I was bizzy stuffing my face… ha ha
Tahlia, looking to land that earing
Asleep sitting up…… my boys are a constant source of amazement….. one minute Floyd’s eating lunch….. the next… he’s asleep sitting in the chair, without falling off…..
